We are sad to bring you the news of the passing of long-time member and Past President, Wilma Diehl. Never has there been a more devoted member of SOTC. Wilma advocated for dogs as she assisted soo many with all levels of training. Over the years, Wilma coordinated, worked on and participated in soo many of SOTC's activities- including Matches, Trials, Stewarding, Instructing, Pet Therapy, Community education and many others.
Our Fall Obedience Trials will be in memory of Wilma Diehl. Before retiring, Wilma was a teacher and Assistant Superintendent in the Massapequa school district. Her breed of choice was miniature poodles and she earned many AKC Obedience and Rally titles. Over the years, Wilma was an obedience instructor, Training Director and President of SOTC, as well as a member of the Therapy Dog Demo Team. She was also a member of both the Poodle Club and the Obedience Stewards Club. She is sorely missed by all who knew her.
